THE AUDITORIUM CONSTRUCTED AT SHILAJ. A state of the art amphitheatre, accessible green rooms, utility spaces, improved sound and lighting capabilities with a catwalk over the seating and an increasing height stairs which could be directly used for seating or chairs could be placed were the main programmatic components of the project.
Architectural strategy: The proximity of the existing modern granite and kota,
exposed brick and as well as the acoustic wall made with wooden stripes add a
major feel of coziness to the space. The architecture sought to express continuity
with the older materials through the material.
The backdrop : An intentional gap between the two elements
wood and fabric give the space an elegant and contemporary look.
