Raasa House

Ahmedabad, India

Raasa Studio, a clothing brand’s workshop in Shilaj, Ahmedabad, celebrates raw creativity and adaptability. The design dissolves traditional workplace boundaries, creating a dynamic environment for both making and showcasing.

Light as Architecture

Visitors enter through a porch that doubles as parking, event venue, and photo-shoot location. Inside, a bamboo-lined ceiling and textured walls set a tone of informal welcome. Arched windows ensure natural ventilation and daylight, reinforcing the studio’s connection to nature.

Inviting Transition

This transition space establishes the studio’s design philosophy at the outset—one that values flexibility, openness, and human comfort. By combining functionality with warmth, the entry experience sets a welcoming tone that resonates throughout the studio, encouraging both creativity and connection.

Access to Natural Light & Shade

The porch acts as a threshold rather than a boundary, blurring the line between exterior and interior. Its generous proportions allow it to host spontaneous gatherings, exhibitions, and informal interactions, making arrival an experience rather than a moment of passage. This layered entry sequence gently prepares visitors for the creative environment within.

Materials—figured wood, cane, exposed brick, metal, and mosaic tile—remain purposefully unfinished, celebrating craft and imperfection. Raasa Studio embodies the brand’s commitment to transformation and creativity, functioning as both workshop and social hub.
